Lutein and zeaxanthin are the two carotenoids that concentrate in the macula, and lycopene is a related red carotenoid. Intake of lutein and zeaxanthin is associated with the density of the macular pigment.*
RetinaclearPlant Extracts
Bilberry, eyebright and grape seed extract are included largely on traditional-use grounds.*
Vitamins and Antioxidants
Alpha-lipoic acid, vitamins A, C and E, zinc and copper and the B vitamins support ocular tissue and everyday nutrition.*
